Tomorrow, my 2 babies are going to get their shots. It's the flu season, and the doctor would most probably give Noah a flu shot. Certainly, not a fun day!

3-Month Old Me

"Gee...I'm getting older, and heavier! I'm 3 month old and turning 4 this month. Can't wait to eat REAL good food now. I've been dreamin' of banana cereal, oatmeal... mmmm..yum! yum! :) "

Still Summer For Me

I know. I know. Summer is out, and autumn is in. Then, the chilly winter. I don't know why my crazy Mommy wanted me to wear these pair of sunglasses.

But I do look kinda cool. Let's rock! :)

My Boys' Check-Up

Last week, Noah and Kaiden had their well-child check up- 18th and 2nd mo respectively. Both of them had 2 shots each, DTap and MMR for Noah, DTap and Hib plus an oral vaccine for Kaiden. I believe that's the Rotavirus. Oh, it was heart breaking. Before leaving home, 30 minutes prior to their check-up, I gave them Tylenol, as advised by our doctor to prepare them for the shots. :( Kaiden, who was sleeping, woke up and cried from the shots but he went back to sleep soon after they were given. Noah SCREAMED when he was poked. The nurse said that the MMR vaccine stings so I guess he felt that. My husband was the one who had to hold Noah that time. He felt horrible for both of the little boys like Mommy. I think he had more of a hard time dealing with it than I did. I just told him we just had to remind ourselves that it's for their own benefit. As for their stats, Noah falls on the 25th percentile for weight, and 75th percentile for height. Kaiden, on the other hand, falls on the 75th percentile for both weight and height.

By the way, as soon as we got home, Noah was back to his old rambunctious self- jumping, galloping, laughing hard with Daddy, as if nothing happened. :)

Noah Names Parts of the Face

"Eyes...ears..." Funny how Noah names the parts of the face with Kaiden, his younger brother as his model. I just have to watch his finger though because I'm afraid he might poke Kaiden's eyes. And curious that he is, he sometimes puts his finger into baby Kaiden's mouth, trying to explore what's inside, while poor Kaiden just stares at his older brother, not knowing what's going on. :)

Kaiden's 1st Month Check Up

Yesterday was Kaiden's 1st month check-up. His weight and height fall into the 80th percentile meaning he weighs and stands more than 80% of babies his age, which I assume is good. Everything went well except for his nasal congestion and cough. He wasn't given antibiotics for his lungs are clear and he doesn't have any fever or ear infection, although he needs to be nebulized before bedtime for 3-5 days. Doctor said he might have the same thing as his brother. Noah, his older brother, has asthma. He gets 2 puffs of inhalant 2x a day. It's painful and it breaks my heart to see my babies having difficulty breathing as if gasping for air whenever they cough. Like most mothers, I wish I could just suck in their suffering and let Mommy carry the burden instead. Nasty cough! haaayyy

Kaiden Turns 1 Month Old

It's already been a month since I've given birth to our second baby Kaiden. He definitely has grown bigger and heavier with cheeks getting plumper like a little Buddha. :) So far, Noah is doing a great job being an older brother. Whenever Kaiden cries, he would point and look at us, and then run quickly to Kaiden's side. We compliment and give him a sweet kiss in return for being a caring brother. There are times though he gets so playful that he takes his blanket from him, or pulls his mittens from his hands. Being a toddler that he is, we always tell him, "be gentle", or "be soft". Gladly he listens, and then touches his lil brother's head as gently as he can. :)

Baby Kaiden's 1st Smile

Baby Kaiden was only 3 days old when he showed his 1st ever smile. We were still in the hospital then. Seeing him smile the very first time was truly a precious thing to behold! :)

Finally!

As promised, here are some pictures of Baby Kaiden who was born June 16, 2008 at 12:04 pm. He weighed 7 lbs, with a height of 18.75". Thank you, my loving friends and fellow bloggers, for all your prayers, and for constanly visiting my blog even if I haven't updated it for a while. I would do my best to visit your blogs the soonest I can. :) Having another baby brings more love and happiness in our house, and for that we feel so blessed! :)

Today is the Day!

Today is the day I'd give birth to our second son, Kaiden. 12:00 noon to be exact. This is the day that my husband and I have been waiting for and extremely excited about. It may take time before I resume to blogging for I want to spend more precious time with my little baby. And of course, since I'd be having the "dreaded" C-section, I would also need ample time to heal from my operation. As soon as I'm able, I would update you, my dear friends and fellow bloggers, with photos of our newborn, and his development as the days go by. :) As of now, I would need all your prayers for a safe delivery and a healthy, normal baby. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being with me throughout my "pregnancy journey". For sure, I'll miss reading all your fabulous blogs! :)

Getting Nearer!

more days! We just can't contain our excitement as the days get nearer and nearer for Kaiden's birth. I'm also a little bit nervous even if I've done this before with my first pregnancy. Actually, the epidural procedure scares me more than the operation itself. I don't know. Just thinking about that humongous needle being shoved in my spine gives me jitters all over. Oh, God! Please keep me strong! Let me not faint...waaaaaa :(

My Doctor's Appointment

I had an appointment last Monday with my ob-gynecologist. So far, everything looked fine. Remarkably, I did not gain weight for 2 weeks. Starting next week though, I would need to have my NST's or non-stress test done twice a week until June 12. I underwent the same thing when I was pregnant with Noah, although I started sooner with him. The reason why I'm doing NST's is because I'm high risk due to my multiple uterine fibroids. What they normally do during NST's is that they strap your abdomen with 2 belts- one to measure the baby's heart rate, and the other one to measure your contractions. Because of this test, we were able to know that Noah was having bradycardia, or slowing of the heart rate- reason why he had to be delivered 3 weeks early. Friday before I give birth is the day when I would have my pre-anesthesia appointment. This is in preparation for my c-section delivery on Monday, the following week. 27 days more and the waiting will be over. Baby Kaiden will soon be in my loving arms. Lovely! :)

32 weeks!

I'm on my 32nd week of pregnancy and I'm glad that my ultrasound turned out pretty good today. At first, the sonographer checked my uterus for the fibroids, which, during my first pregnancy, were very prominent- reason why my pregnancy was considered high-risk. Fibroids are tumors that are non-cancerous, and are most commonly found in the uterus, or womb. Unfortunately, I have numerous of them, and I remember one of them is almost the size of a grapefruit. It's located at the birth canal where the baby would pass through upon delivery- the main reason why I can't deliver normally, thereby needing a Caesarean operation. With this second pregnancy, for some reason, she couldn't locate any of the fibroids that were present before. Good news for me! :) Hopefully, they had shrunk. Following that, she checked on our Baby Kaiden-the one that we had been anxiously waiting for! :) Oh, my! I'm only on my 32nd week and he's already 4 lbs and 7 oz! His size is 4 days ahead of the normal according to the sonographer. When I gave birth to Noah, he was only 5 lbs and 13 oz. We can tell from now that Baby Kaiden's going to be bigger. Another interesting thing we noticed was that Baby Kaiden has already grown some hair! Yes, he already has hair and it was so obvious from the ultrasound. So funny! Imagine how thick it would be when he finally comes out in June. :)
