Tomorrow

Tomorrow is a big day for the kids. It's the Halloween! Well, actually, it's Mommy who's really more excited for I'd get to dress them up for the occasion. We would just be knocking on our neighbor's houses in the col-de-sac. It would just be a short trip. We're not planning to go far. We would like Noah to also experience giving out candies and chocolates to the kids. Trick or treat! :)

Spend Wisely

It's the hard times. Most companies have been laying off employees. Some small businesses have decided to close. Being A Doggie

He was being silly that day. I guess he's trying to imitate our dogs, Sophie and Bridget when they eat on the floor or from their bowls. This is not the first time that he did this. Our daycare provider said that him and Marky had been being eating from their bowls by mouth to be silly. hehehe! Funny :)

Oh Dear

Sometimes, I wonder if he realizes how much he means to me. Last night, my hubby had been complaining of chest pain. He even mentioned that he might have a heart attack! Oh, my! That worried me a lot. He has been stressed lately due to the country's crisis, work, home, everything. I asked him if our doctor knows about his condition. He also happens to be our family friend. Less water, less detergent, energy efficient,... expensive ;) Those are the words I can associate the front loader with which we got few days ago. Our previous washer and dryer broke. The washer, for some reason, stopped spinning. I guess there's a baby sock stuck inside the hose or something. It would take around 3 spins for our clothes to get dry in the dryer. It was a waste of time, effort, and money. Apparently, that shoot up our energy bill. I like the front loader we got. It's not cheap. It's definitely more expensive than the top loaders. But, it will save us money in the long run. You can put heavier loads which, of course, lead to fewer loads. The first time I used it, I was surprised. The clothes were not as wet as I was expecting them to be when I got them out of the washer. More water was extracted because of its stronger spinning cycle. That surely saves electricity. Overall, I'm happy and satisfied with our purchase. Happy washing! :)

We have plans of moving next year, but it might not be as soon as we're supposed to. Due to the economic crisis, some of our plans were put on hold. Seriously, I've been looking for a good coupon organizer. I use coupons whenever I buy groceries especially diapers and other baby items. I have tons of them and most of the time they end up crumpled or at the very bottom of my purse. I'm bent on buying one any time this week. I watched the last few minutes of the game last Saturday, and glad I did. Wizards won 3-2 against San Jose. The third winning goal was made at the last minute! Wow! If they win the game this weekend against New England, they surely are in the play-offs. Go, Wizards! You can do it! :)

Kaiden's 4th Month

My dear Kaiden is 4 months now. Still learning how to eat solid food but he's getting there. He gets frustrated at times for he wants to eat more. He just doesn't know how to eat from the spoon yet. I Thought

Hippie Look

I was Good Sandy last Halloween. My co-workers and I decided to be the characters from the Grease movie last year. I wore a pink poodle skirt, a black and white striped shirt accessorized with a black chiffon scarf, and a pink jacket. I also wore a white 1950's eye glasses to match the attire. One of my co-workers was Frenchie and she wore a pink wig. It was a hit in the office! For this year, we plan to be the Hippies from the 70's. Oh, I bet this would be another fun Halloween at work! Halloween Costumes are fun. I have been trying to look online and I found one at Halloweenadventure.com. Wizards Vs. New England Revs

I'm sure my dear husband is in cloud nine tonight. The Wizards won the game against New England Revs with a 1-0 score. It was a much needed win to make it to the play-offs. Sadly, I didn't get to watch it in its entirety for I had to put our babies to sleep. Anyway, I'm very happy for him and his team. Go, go Wizards! :)

Halloween Costume

Cousin in New Orleans

My cousin arrived in New Orleans yesterday. He applied for a working visa and apparently he was approved. He'd be working for Dickie Brennan's & Company. Oh, he's so excited! We're so happy for him. Our only worry is everybody knows that New Orleans is known for hurricanes. We pray he won't experience a tragic one during his stay there. Other than that, we hope he enjoys his work, have a good working relationship with his associates, meet nice people. We're so proud of him!

For A Cleaner Air

I had broncho-pneumonia when I was little. Then, I just learned recently from my mother that I suffered from asthma too when I was a kid. Thank God I outgrew it. My husband though still suffers from allergies and asthma that he needs to use the inhaler at times. No wonder our babies, Noah and Kaiden have them. Heredity plays a big part. Noah still has asthma, but is well-controlled now. Kaiden is still coughing, but is not as worse as the past week. Like most doting parents, we would anything to help them lessen, if not totally eliminate their suffering. One is making sure we have the home air purifier. We have one in the living room. Also, we have an air humidifier in the bedroom. They do help relieve asthma attacks, but it's of equal importance that they are properly maintained. Clean filters or replace them as instructed. "bye kiki, bye kiki..." I laughed hard when hubby was telling me what happened during the day at work. Kini, short for Kintaro, is his assistant trainer. He's Japanese (obviously):) When they were about to leave the office, Noah bid him good-bye saying, "bye kiki, bye kiki" instead of "bye Kini". Well, for Filipinos like me, you know why I found this funny. hehe :)

Daddy and Noah to Work

Today is Daddy and Noah's bonding time. My husband took Noah with him to work. Honestly, he was as excited as Noah. He even called me when they were on their way to the office to tell me that Noah had been dancing, laughing, and playing silly with him in his car seat. What a lovely sight to see! :) It's Mommy and baby Kaiden's bonding time, too. Right now, he's sleeping in his cozy bassinet snuggled in a soft blanket.

4 Year Old Shoots Herself

The mother had the gun for protection, however, it cost the life of her 4 year old daughter. Her daughter was actually playing with it and shoot herself between the eyes. She was rushed to the hospital after the incident to be treated. But according to the latest news we heard, she didn't survive. So sad this happened.

Shoes For Me and Noah

"Choos...choos..." Whenever Noah gets bored and wants to get out of the house, he would point to his shoes lined up on top of the shelf and say, "choos...choos...". Sometimes, I mistake it for juice, and even nose as he says it almost the same way. Only when he points to his shoes that I get what he really meant, which is shoes. He has quite a number of shoes, by the way. My mom loved buying him a pair whenever she goes shopping. He has sneakers, Crocs, sandals, boots of different styles and brands. He never even got a chance to wear some of them because they won't fit his chunky little feet. Well, baby Kaiden might be able to wear them someday.
